'Hard for the Hal' is a documentary about the Rotterdam Energy Hall, the place where the seed was planted for today's Gabber scene. The parties in the Energy Hall were raw, pure and controversial. They formed the basis of a scene that is still active worldwide to this day. Four personalities talk from their own backgrounds and expertise about the influence of the gabber parties in this legendary Hall. A hall that not only had a major influence on the gabber scene, but also played a defining role in the lives of all four of these characters. In 'Hard voor de Hal' the lifestyle, the organization, the dark side and the experience of the gabber culture are highlighted by these four characters.
