In the South of Rotterdam you have to be careful with words, because misunderstandings lurk. If you don't use the right tone, you're not well spoken, or you don't have anyone to really talk to, it can just ruin your life. In Mondig Zuid we get to know three children for whom their assertiveness, their language, their words, their communication or their lack thereof forms an obstacle for them. Three children, blessed with creativity and resilience, but is that enough to bring their dreams for the future closer? The series follows the three in their daily lives and openly talks about their doubts, fears and dreams. The loving camera shows their vulnerability, but above all their courage and determination.
